Protrafo supplies transformers. For a complete transformer station we work with M2E, which builds compact substations for the Netherlands and Germany and has chosen Protrafo as its preferred transformer supplier.

The partnership

Who does what

M2 Energie B.V. (M2E) designs and builds compact substations, walk-in stations and transformer skids. Assembly takes place in Emmen, the office is in Zwolle, and M2E delivers throughout the Netherlands and in Germany.

Protrafo supplies the transformer inside the station. Both companies have signed a multi-year framework agreement for dozens of transformers, so the specification, the test reports and the dimensions of the transformer are settled before a station is engineered.

Protrafo does not build stations itself. If you ask us for a complete station, we pass your enquiry on to M2E. If you only need a transformer, we quote it ourselves.

Does Protrafo supply complete transformer stations?

No. Protrafo supplies transformers. Complete compact substations are built by M2E, and we pass station enquiries on to them.

Does M2E deliver in Germany?

Yes. According to M2E, it delivers from Zwolle and Emmen throughout the Netherlands and in Germany.

Can I order only the transformer from Protrafo?

Yes. For a transformer without a station, for example for a station you build yourself or for a replacement, you request a quote from Protrafo directly.
