Protrafo is proud to announce that we have signed a multi-year framework agreement with M2 Energie B.V. (m2e.nl) for the supply of dozens of high-quality transformers.

Who is M2 Energie? M2 Energie B.V. is a fast-growing, innovative Dutch company founded in May 2025. With its own modern production facility in Emmen, M2 Energie develops and builds complete compact transformer stations, medium-voltage installations and turnkey energy solutions tailored to customer needs.

Their specialty lies in sustainable, compact solutions that emit up to 75% less CO₂ than traditional transformer houses. The stations are ideal for: • Data centers • Solar farms and wind energy • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) • Recreation parks, healthcare facilities and industrial projects • Solutions for grid congestion with grid operators such as Liander and Enexis

Through the combination of in-house engineering, modular construction and short delivery times, M2 Energie plays an important role in the Dutch energy transition.

Strong collaboration in Emmen This framework agreement enables M2 Energie to consistently equip its innovative compact stations with proven, Dutch transformers from Protrafo. Both companies have strong roots in Emmen and the region. Together we are strengthening the local manufacturing industry and delivering reliable, efficient medium-voltage solutions that directly contribute to a stable and sustainable electricity grid.
